There’s only a few weeks to go until the premiere of Season 6 and the showrunners continue to insist on trolling us with a mixed bag of teasers, the most recent of which were released this weekend. The network released three teasers, each more disturbing and creepy than the other. If AHS fans weren’t hyped up enough, then these three excerpts will definitely get their blood going.

The first promo shows a nurse taking down a wind chime made entirely of human teeth and cutting a corn husk puppet just like the one in The Blair Witch Project. Since some of the trailers seem to be fake just to throw fans for a loop, many fans want to know if the latest batch of teasers are real or fake. President and General Manager of FX, John Landgraf, recently admitted that the network had been releasing fake teasers just to keep fans guessing until the premiere.

Landgraf said that at least one of the Season 6 teasers is actually a fake and designed to misdirect fans. But which one is it? Another recently released teaser shows us what happens when aliens mess up an abduction. You could just feel the crack of the woman’s spine as she’s airlifted to the ship. It might seem a bit too sci-fi for American Horror Story, but this wouldn’t be the first time the show has dabbled with alien abduction stories. Several characters in AHS: Asylum were actually abducted by extraterrestrial life.

To complete the trifecta of teasers is ‘The Mist’, which is arguably the show’s most terrifying teaser that’s ever been released. Just like the other two, ‘The Mist’ is a 15-second video reminiscent of another Season 6 promo which might mean corroborate its authenticity. The monster in the video looks quite unnerving with its glowing eyes and crab-like legs. FX even released a promo poster to go with the one portraying a spider-eyed woman, which come to think of it, might also be one of the fake ones that was released as a misdirection.

The latest poster features metal hooks bent to resemble the show’s question mark logo, which coincidentally, perfectly describes the state most fans are in. We dare say that the network’s new campaign has been a successful one as the hype surrounding the new season is bigger than ever. For now, we could only guess what’s fake and what’s authentic, but one thing’s for sure – we will definitely not be disappointed.
