To all Justin Bieber fans who ask what is cooking, well, it seems there’s some new Justin Bieber music coming and it sounds pretty exciting. Electronic dance music has been central to Bieber’s transformation from troubled post-adolescent hooligan to Grammy-winning pop pioneer. Producer Diplo and Bieber have been lately engaged in an exchange of tweets hinting on the possibility of a collaboration between the ‘Sorry’ hit singer and Diplo’s Major Lazer side project.

Justin Bieber set it off on Monday, May 16 2016 when he tweeted, “@diplo when are we bringing this new music?” It was not until later on in the day when Diplo did finally respond on the same platform promising to ‘whip up’ some artwork really quickly giving reason that because the upcoming unnamed song ‘is fire’. It was not enough for Bieber because he was at it the following day, Tuesday May 17 2016 with a teasing tweet directed at Diplo but no word still on when the song would drop.

Based on the success of his earlier forays into EDM territory, we conclude that it could be an exciting collaboration. All this come in the wake of a Twitter spat on Saturday May 14, between Deadmau5 and Skrillex after the former claimed the latter was ‘used as a goddamn tool’ by Justin Bieber on his recent Purpose album. Of the 12 tracks on Justin Bieber’s 2015 Purpose album, Skrillex produced 5 having also worked together on Jack Ü’s ‘Where Are Ü Now?

On the other hand, Major Lazer better known as Diplo and DJs Jillionare and Walshy Fire, made history in March when he became one of the first US acts to play Cuba following the diplomatic raw previously prevailing. Justin Bieber has released four studio albums, four compilation albums, one extended play, twenty-nine singles (including eight as a featured artist), and seventeen promotional singles. We keep our fingers crossed and await this much hyped collaboration between himself and Diplo!
